California’s Self Generation Incentive Program budget doubled

The CPUC issued a decision to increase the Self-Generation Incentive Program’s total budget by double the amount collected in CY 2008. The decision allocates the additional funding to the energy storage incentive and the generation category incentive budget categories. Now, nearly $200 million annually will be available for energy storage. The remaining $34 million from the funds are available for renewable generation projects within the generation category.
