Entergy request approval of AMI program

As part of its request for advanced metering infrastructure filing, Entergy Mississippi
announced a plan to deploy grid modernization technologies by upgrading to advanced meters and expanding online energy management tools for its customers. The utility said it is all part of the company’s long-term vision to use widely adopted modern technologies to provide safe, reliable and affordable energy to customers. Entergy reports that the plan will provide grid operators a clearer real-time picture of its power grid and allow for outages to be identified more accurately, as well as give customers more detailed information on their energy usage. “We have an obligation and responsibility to power our customers’ lives through reliable and affordable service,” said Haley Fisackerly, president and CEO of Entergy Mississippi, Inc.
