Distributed Energy Resources

Intelligent and increasingly digital technologies are proliferating in a wide variety of consumer, commercial and industrial applications. Distributed energy resources, electric vehicles, energy storage and customer-controlled energy resources will continue to increase, accelerated in part by federal spending and incentives.

In support of the overall rise of distributed energy resources, we anticipate that there will be increasing market and regulatory pressure to establish clear and transparent price signals, visibility into real-time grid conditions and market mechanisms that optimize how DER can provide grid services that reduce demands for ratepayer investments.
